2027 Guided Tennessee Elk Hunt
The winner of the 2026 Tennessee Elk Hunting Package will receive the coveted 2027 Tennessee Conservation Elk Tag for the fall rifle elk hunt in the premier elk hunting zone (EHZ1) within the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area. This exclusive one-on-one guided hunt will be led by an experienced Tennessee elk guide, providing a truly memorable and professionally guided hunting experience. Receiving the 2027 tag also allows the winner ample time to plan and prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
In Tennessee, only about 19 total elk permits are issued each year (9 archery, 9 gun/muzzleloader/archery, 1 youth, plus this Wildlife Conservation Raffle permit). As a result, the odds of drawing a Tennessee elk tag as an individual applicant for the 2027 season would be extremely low.
EHZ1 — Chestnut Ridge and Fork Mountain — spans 6,827 acres featuring multiple wildlife openings and consistently holds the highest hunter success rate of any elk hunting zone in Tennessee. The 7-day quota hunt is scheduled for October 2–8, 2027, running from the first Saturday in October through the following Friday.
