About the Raffle
Who is conducting this raffle?
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation (TWRF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is conducting this raffle under authorization from the Tennessee General Assembly and the Tennessee Secretary of State.
Buying Tickets
Do I have to live in Tennessee to buy tickets or win?
No – you don’t have to be a Tennessee resident to enter or to win. We’ve had winners from outside Tennessee in past years.
One important note: raffle laws vary from state to state, and a few states restrict or don’t permit participation in online charitable raffles. Because those laws differ (and can change), we’re not able to provide a list of eligible states or advise on the rules where you live — that would count as legal advice. Before entering, we’d simply recommend a quick check of your own state’s rules on charitable raffle participation to make sure you’re good to go.
How much does a raffle ticket cost?
Raffle tickets are $20 each, 3 for $50, or 10 for $100.
How many tickets can I buy?
You may purchase as many tickets as you wish.
When will I get my ticket(s)?
As soon as your ticket(s) are purchased, you will receive an email confirming your purchase. You will receive your ticket number(s) on the confirmation page and email receipt. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please be sure to check your SPAM/JUNK folders.
How many raffle tickets will be sold?
There is no limit on the number of tickets for sale.
What are my odds of winning?
The odds of winning a raffle prize depend on the number of tickets you purchase, and the total number of tickets sold.
Is my raffle ticket tax-deductible?
No. The IRS’s position is that amounts paid for chances to win in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are wagers, and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions.
My order failed or my credit card was declined. What should I do?
The issue more times than not is that your credit card issuer declined the charge because they classified it as suspicious. Call the card issuer at the phone number printed on the back of the card and explain what you are trying to purchase. Most of the time this will fix the issue.
The Drawing & Winners
When are the ticket purchase deadline and the drawing?
Ticket purchase deadline: Sunday, November 8 at 11:59 PM (CST).
Drawing: Tuesday, November 10, 2026.
Winners announced: November 12, 2026. The list of winners will be posted on the website. An e-mail listing the winners will also be sent to every 2026 ticket purchaser.
Can I be entered into just one prize drawing?
No. There is only one drawing. Every ticket sold will be eligible for all of the prizes.
Can I choose which prize I want to win?
No. All tickets go into a single drawing. 15 winning ticket numbers will be selected at random via an electronic drawing. Once the winners ticket numbers are drawn, each winner will rank the prize packages in the order of their preference. The first winner chooses first, then the second winner, and so on. If you’re selected as a winner, you’ll be awarded the highest-ranking prize that remains undrawn on your preference list – but there’s no way to assign your tickets to specific prizes in advance.
Can I win more than one prize?
Yes. If you purchase more than one ticket, you are eligible to win more than one prize. Each ticket is assigned a unique identification number, and every remaining ticket number is eligible to be drawn after the previous winning number is drawn.
Do I have to be present at the drawing to win?
No. You do not need to be present to win.
How will winners be notified?
The winners will be notified on Thursday, November 12, 2026 by phone and email using the contact info provided when purchasing the tickets.
Prizes & Claiming
How do I claim my prize(s)?
Winners must take possession of their prizes in person at the winners ceremony. The location, date, and time of the ceremony will be determined by TWRF and communicated to the winners after the drawing. If your prize package contains a firearm, you must submit a completed FFL form and successfully pass a firearms background check.
What are the taxable values of each prize package?

What if I can’t accept the prize I win? Is there a cash alternative?
No. There are no cash alternatives to the prizes won. If a winner does not accept the prize, another winner will be drawn from the remaining tickets.
Hunts, Tags & Regulations
What are the hunt dates?
TN Elk Hunt
October 2–8, 2027
TN Trophy Deer Hunt
1st Hunt – October 14 (scouting day), October 15–17, 2027 (3-day hunt)
2nd Hunt – December 2 (scouting day), December 3–5, 2027 (3-day hunt)
Waterfowl Hunt
December 11–12, 2027
Can the winner sell any of the hunts?
No. The hunts cannot be transferred for monetary gain.
Are any of the tags transferable?
If the winner is unable, or chooses not, to participate in the hunts, he or she can choose to transfer the tag to an eligible hunter one time. No monetary gain can be made in the transaction. Once a tag has been transferred, it cannot be transferred again.
What about licenses and regulations for the hunting packages?
Applicable state and or federal licenses are not included in any of the prize packages. All prize winners must abide by the rules and regulations established by the TFWC and published in the Tennessee Hunting, Fishing and Trapping Guide. The winner must possess all applicable licenses and/or permits to legally participate in the hunts.
